AVIATE raises ¥70M (PR TIMES press release)
We are building TASKBASE — a platform that takes your operational details and handles everything from breaking the work down to running the automation, end to end.

This round

We raised ¥70 million in total from ANOBAKA, East Ventures, and MIXI founder Kenji Kasahara — to accelerate TASKBASE's development and rollout.

Why we raised#

Generative AI is increasingly used at work, yet back-office teams keep stumbling right at the entrance to automation:

  • It's unclear which task to even start automating
  • Work that was never written into a manual is hard to automate
  • Tools get adopted but never quite make it into daily operations
  • Doubts linger about the accuracy and security needed for production

TASKBASE exists to clear that first hurdle — so that simply feeding in your operational details lets the platform handle everything from breaking the work down to running the automation.

What TASKBASE offers#

  1. Manage operations in one place, per workspace
  2. Hands-on support designing work into tasks and steps
  3. Define the division of labor between people and AI
  4. Fully isolate permissions and credentials per workspace
  5. An AI execution foundation built to withstand audits

A word from our founders#

"We want to automate our operations with AI, but we can't comfortably hand it over" — we heard this again and again in the field. Plenty of AI and automation tools have appeared, yet beyond surface-level tasks, back-office automation hasn't progressed the way people hoped. The difficulty of designing where to even begin, the hurdle of setup and building automation flows, access permissions that must be isolated per client, the precision demanded in areas where mistakes aren't allowed — if any one of these is missing, it won't survive real-world operation. We wanted to build a product that meets those voices head-on. That conviction is why we launched TASKBASE.

—— Ryota Hagihara, Representative Director & CEO

With the rapid recent progress of AI agents, more and more can be entrusted to AI — but for it to be used in real operations, it's essential to be able to trace who decided what and when and which process ran, and to stop safely when an exception occurs. With TASKBASE, we aim to combine an experience where you can easily build workflows in natural language with an execution foundation fit for production use at companies. We're making back-office automation something not just for engineers, but for anyone on the ground.

—— Takumi Ueno, Co-founder & CTO

(The founders' comments were originally given in Japanese and translated for this article.)

Use of funds and what's next#

The funds go toward TASKBASE's product and business development. We'll accelerate feature work and onboarding support to bring back-office operations closer to "just feed it in, and it runs."
